The PIDDDS Diet is centered on each individual’s blood type, which affects the body’s metabolism and the reactions the body has to certain foods. Most people are wheat intolerant and should avoid wheat, due to the gene-manipulated grains that are being used in the general market these days. The gluten is too strong in these gene manipulated grains. Studies are in the works right now on the effects of this super-power gluten. It is believed that the gluten is so sticky that it will attach itself to any newly created cell in the body and start a chain reaction. So for instance, if the gluten attaches to a brain cell, it is like glue and will quickly create plaque in the brain. This is currently under further investigation right now.
PIDDDS formula colour types diet is partly based on Jose’s personal experience with self-help published blood group diets. 14 years ago Jose started to eat according to her blood group and soon found out that, it makes a lot of sense to eat according your blood group. In the years Jose practiced the diet, she started to study it and saw new links. She found out, that although it worked for her, it sometimes did not totally work on others. Correcting the spine in its natural position brought Jose the answer. It not only sorted her out but it also worked positively and with great results on the people she worked with.
People often ask "What is the connection between the second D and first D in PIDDDS and weight loss?''. By guiding the back bones back into its natural position and restoring the sacrum, that triangular bit on the bottom, back in horizontal position we restore the natural body functions. The backbones or the spine is like a big charger and the body is like an instrument operated by lots of batteries connected to the charger. If part of the spine is not in place, the battery that operates the intestines, is not working well and for example cannot break down the food, because the ‘'battery'' that activates the chemicals to break down the food, is flat and not properly connected to the ‘'charger'', the back bone or spine. If the body cannot break down the food, it will be stored as fat. Children climb trees or ride bikes and fall down a lot whilst playing or simply having dispositional back bones from birth, due to difficulties whilst being born. This explains why some parents are sometimes driven to despair come and say ''I really don't understand why my child is getting fat…we give our children home cooked food and we keep a close eye on them as not to eat too much candy , but my oldest child is overweight and I don't know what to do!". In most cases we will find leg length difference and dispositional sacrum and spine. After correcting the child with the self help dynamic exercises, the leg length disappears and the child can keep both feet on the ground and find total balance as all bodily functions are restored so it can digest the food properly and lose weight.
So what is the right food? As mentioned in ‘how PIDDDS Started’ Jose’s career started as an educational worker, taking care of children and Adults with a special need. One of the big issues by guiding the children was educating them to eat healthy. The first step we can take to find out what is right for us is, to find out what food best suits our individual metabolic system. The ‘food pyramid’ is based on the population in general, but who is the average person? We know that one specific type of person does not really exist and that we are all in various types different from each other. Naturopaths testing the different blood groups published that, blood group affects responses to different foods. To eat healthy people need to be motivated and guided. Adults and Children need to learn to understand their body. There is a common misunderstanding between hunger and thirst feelings. Some of the feelings associated with hunger are actually the same sensation as thirst, so it is easy to confuse the body's signals and therefore eat more. We do not need to eat more, we need to drink more. Children at school tend to drink less, they need a regular reminder to ‘' go and get a drink!''. As soon as the group activities are over, all children want is going outside and play. If they do not drink for a period of time, they compensate the thirst feeling with eating more snacks at brake time, and eat more than they should as they do not know the difference between hunger and thirst. Inevitably children will put on weight.
There is food that is good for you and food which is bad for you. PIDDDS will help you find what is good. The easier it is for the body to process and digest food, the less is stored around the body as fat. Work and Schools starts early, and we seem to have less time, to eat proper breakfast. Attractive packed lunch snacks tend to dominate, the healthy home prepared lunch boxes. Healthy lunchboxes are essential for your wellbeing. Eating according your PIDDDS type will take away the frustration of poor results in dieting. Jose gives a full prescription of the specific diets for each PIDDDS type in my book PIDDDS 3 D Living ,based on 5 colour types, RED, BLUE,GREEN,YELLOW, and ORANGE. By inventing the Orange house and the orange diet, for every blood group digestive 7 day's diet plan.
But diet on its own is only part of the solution. What happens if you are on a diet, but do not exercise? When we don't exercise and more importantly, move the way our body is designed to, your body will make up for these incorrect movements by making Dynamic adjustments. Take for example: when we sit behind the computer we hardly use our muscles. When we move less, we create more fat, which produces more insulin, and once the body releases insulin, it immediately starts to inhibit the fat-burning hormone called hormone -sensitive lipase. This hormone is responsible for releasing fat into our bloodstream, to be used as fuel for the body. Once this enzyme is inhibited, the body is unable to breakdown fat and will then begin utilizing amino acids from the muscle and carbohydrates instead. This will cause you to become abnormally hungry and to over-eat, which could lead to obesity. Insulin is a key hormone in the body's metabolism, and its levels rise as levels of body fat rise. Obese adults/children often have chronically high insulin levels which can eventually lead to the development of diabetes. Said simply… if we don't exercise the body cannot do its job and you will not lose weight. Join after school activities, like tennis, football, golf, or simply walk for at least 30 minutes, it will do you good. Diet is not enough because your body we needs to move as well.

PIDDDS Diet is recommended, for a minimum of one month to reset your system and then after that, the individual, can slowly introduce foods that they love back into their diets. For instance, after a month you can start bringing your ‘root foods back, for example: An Irish person can re-introduce potatoes into his diet. If he doesn’t feel bloated after eating them, then he is welcomed to continue to eat them. A Mediterranean diet could re-introduce tomatoes. If you still feel good after you eat them, then your body has accepted it. If you do not feel good this means that the body needs to continue following the PIDDDS Diet.
Now don’t get the idea that the PIDDDS Diet, is one that you are deprived of everything with flavour… this is not the case. Some people, for example: PIDDDS type Red, have to have red meat. We recommend the PIDDDS general diet for one month and then you can add other foods from your PIDDDS type food list and according to your roots – many nationalities have gained alterations in their genes that allows, for the comfortable assimilation of foods that don’t necessarily abide by the PIDDDS type designation. This way, you eat what your body was made to eat and the foods that your body wants.
